JOB VACANCY: Subcontinental Assistant Finance Manager
Jobrelais is recruiting on behalf of an international Christian organization for the position of Subcontinental Assistant Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the Finance team in reviewing, processing, and monitoring financial reports, disbursements, reimbursements, staff advances, and regional program funds. The role requires close collaboration with regional staff and the finance office.
Main duties include:
- Process and record regional staff financial reports in the accounting system;
- Organize and file financial reports and receipts electronically for audit purposes;
- Monitor staff cash advance balances and carryovers across different currencies;
- Reconcile financial reports with credit card statements and schedule payments;
- Track pending reports, reimbursements, credit card usage, and multi-currency transactions;
- Prepare and submit wire transfer requests for salaries, reimbursements, advances, and program funds;
- Support the processing of Seed Fund requests for regional programs;
- Monitor approved budgets, financial requests, and past expenses;
- Identify unusual entries or non-compliance with financial policies;
- Communicate with regional staff to resolve finance-related queries;
- Assist in onboarding and guiding new staff on financial reporting procedures;
- Participate in finance team coordination meetings and contribute to process improvement.
Required Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- A background and experience in accounting or finance;
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, Xero, or similar tools;
- Strong computer skills, especially in Excel;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Reliable and strong internet access;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines;
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Ability to train and support others on financial processes;
- Availability to travel to several regional staff events per year;
- Be a committed Christian, active in a Christian church, with strong integrity and alignment with the mission and values of the organization.
